The Iris Legacy: 1.2

Last Time: Aquamarine gave birth to her second child, Mulberry, there were multiple birthdays, and Anthony rocked out on Mulberry's guitar. You can read it here. 



We begin this update with a break-in. The Irises were just going along having a nice, normal night, and all of a sudden this guy showed up.

When I saw his name, I laughed - way to be original, Maxis, naming your robber 'Steele.'

Despite the robber sneaking up the four cases of stairs to get to their apartment, the burgular alarm remained silent. It didn't go off until he finally came through the door, in which time it's a little late to stop him.

Anthony, stop that man! He's here to steal all your possessions!

Anthony: What man? All I see is a very blue apartment and a statue of a man wearing black and white stripes, which really doesn't go with the decor...
*sigh*

Then he realized it wasn't a statue and quickly ran outside to freak out at the closed door. Meanwhile, inside, Curtis was freaking out about the alarm going off. Smart men. *rolls eyes*

Finally, the cop shows up, just in time for the bugular to steal the TV. We need that to keep entertained, Curtis! Get your own TV, or at least watch TVs at Target or something.

Oh great, now Aqua and Amy have come out to freak out, too, while Anthony continues freaking out outside, leaving his family unsafe with the robber in there with them. Brave family, they are.

And now Curtis steals their telescope, while the cop is... still... walking... up... the... stairs...
Pride of Sims World, these cops are.

And now Curtis has come back and is staring at Aqua freaking out.

Aqua: Where is the robber? Where's he hiding? Wait, what is it that's blocking my view of the apartment? How am I supposed to find the robber when this man is standing in my way?!

Aqua: Why isn't there any place to hide in this darn apartment?! Maybe if I can't see him, he can't see me...
*shakes head in disbelief* Nope, I don't think that'll work, Aqua.

Curtis: This chick is crazy - I'm off before the cop gets here.
Aqua: I'm so scared my heart feels like it's going to come out!
Curtis: Can I steal it, then?

Aqua: Wait a minute, when you stand there in that light, you look perfect! Stand there for an hour or so while I paint you...
That'd be good - give the cop time to walk very slowly up the stairs to your apartment.

Aqua: On second thought, I'll leave the thief to the slow cop and I'll run out of here...

Amy, get out of the way! For once your mother is being smarter...

Cop, you had better not punch Amy - we need her to be alive so we have two people to pick for heir!

Aqua: Oh no, the cop is getting his butt whooped!
Yes, this is a sad day for the police force indeed.

Come on, Cop, you can get this guy!

He's doing better, maybe he has a chance!

Amy: Oh no, the cop is losing again! Now we're never going to get our TV back and we'll be bored and die of boredom!
No one will ever accuse Amy of being pratical, that's for sure...

Aqua: The cop actually won, but who cares - I have a hot husband, and that's way more important!
Good to see that you have your priorities straight...

Yeah, cuff that guy and get our stuff back!

Um, why is Curtis walking off without the cop? He could just jump off the balcony and get away with our stuff!
On second thought, if he jumped, he'd die and probably smoosh our stuff. But either way, get him, Cop!

Instead of giving us our stuff back, this is all you're giving us? That doesn't even cover the price of our TV, let alone the telescope!

Aw, the poor girl is traumatized - I'm going to be stuck listening to everyone whine about the apartment being broken into for the next two or three generations.

Even after they left, the alarm kept going off for at least another thirty Sims minutes, which got really annoying.

After I bought a new telescope the next day, Aqua began watching her neighbors. This guy came running into the apartment to slap her silly for spying on him, before he got blocked by... nothing.

Even though he didn't even end up touching her (I x'd out the action), she began sobbing after he left, although I think that's because of the break-in - I knew they were going to whine about it for a while!

Ignore Aqua's failure in Music and Dance and cheer for Amy's achievement in music!

See what I mean?! SHUT UP, AQUA!

Amy, that's really not a good thing to wish that Curtis dies and shows up as a ghost...

Good job, Anthony! He's working his way up the career track quite quickly.

*hit head repeatedly against computer*

Chance Card!
Mulberry decides to be a bit greedy - let's see how that turns out...

Oops, maybe you were a bit too greedy.

Another chance card, this time Amy. These kids are having a lot of decisions during this school day to make.

While Mulberry is a greedy loser, Amy is a daring winner!

Anthony continues racking up those promotions! Aqua, you really need to catch up with your husband...

Birthday time! But who is it for...?

Amy! Let's see if her good looks continue on through her teenage years...

(And yes, I gave Amy the same hairstyle as her mother - it works for her, OK?)

Right after her makeover, I send Amy right off to an arcade to see if she can find any good teenage boys.

Unfortunately, there aren't any good guys (actually, there aren't any teenage guys - what kind of arcade is this?) so Amy plays a few games and then heads back home a few quarters lighter.

So, when we get back home, it's a quick call to the gypsy.

Well, sorry Gypsy, but we're trying to buy a nice big house for the next generation.
Please still look good despite the lack of money...

Uh oh. This doesn't look good.

Amy: You have such nice, big lips!
Blind Date: Um...

Amy: And look at your head - nice and firm, perfect for noogies!
Blind Date: Hey, watch it, I worked on my hair for an hair!

Um, something tells me this guy is going to say no to a second date... Not that I mind, or Amy.

Yes! For the awesimsauce challenge, you have to have all ten plaques by the end of the legacy, so this is 1/10! Nine more to go.

Later we went to a clothing shop to buy some new clothes and hopefully meet a new guy, and SUCCESS!
I forget his name, but they talked for a while before he had to leave, so maybe this'll end up going somewhere...

I see you there, Unsavory Citizen or whatever his name is. We need all our money, so stay away!

And then we have more luck with the arrival of a witch! Sure, she's an evil witch and Amy doesn't seem like an evil witch-type, but we can change it once she becomes a witch.

Ooh, this isn't looking too good right now. Amy, be nice and become a witch!

The two begin hanging out and talking, which helps their relationship blossom well.

Amy, shut up! You were broken in days ago!

They're back at the apartment now, and Frances brought her little gloing cat! Yay! :D

Stay away from Anthony, Frances! You're scaring your little protégée!

After Frances left (still no witchiness, darnit!), Amy attempted to fix the broken TV set.
It didn't work.

That doesn't look comfortable...
This TV set is a menance - first it was stolen, and now it's trying to kill my possible heir!

Great look, Amy, if you're in the black generation, that is. Remember, you're purple, not black.

ARE YOU KIDDING ME? First it tries to kill Amy and then it has the nerve to catch on fire as a result?!

Even though it took the firewoman ages to get up here (I should have moved them into the bottom apartment), she finally got up here and managed to save the TV without it burning down. I was very impressed.

Yay, Aqua, you're finally catching up to your husband! (Ignore Amy making out with her boyfriend in the background)

How did you make out and then have your first kiss? The mysteries of the modern world...

It's time for another fire, although this time on top of candles. Who's birthday is it?

It's Mulberry! Maybe he'll finally get an appearance in this update! (I just realized that this may be his first appearance in the whole update, not counting his chance card. Oops.)

What is it with this family and dreadlocks?! To the mirror!

But first his aspiration and turn ons/offs (sorry that I forget Amy's - I didn't realize until just now).

Pretty good looking guy... Amy, I think you might have some competition.

But then Amy helps her case by finally becoming a witch! (Ignore Frances' messed-up skin tone - she somehow got sun-burnt and it messed up her skin.)

BAM! Witch time!
(Ignore the name - I accidentally had Anthony marry Aqua instead of the other way around, and so everyone has his name; I have a plan to get their name back, though, next generation...)

Maybe you should learn some spells before you start waving your wand around some unsuspecting townies...

I have Amy work on becoming a good witch, and after a while I get her down to neutral - almost there!

OK, that's it for this update. Next time: no idea - I haven't played ahead yet. Sorry that this update is a little boring, but I really wanted to get it updated and wasn't feeling too interesting in my commentary. Hopefully next time it'll be better, and it'll be sooner than one month...
