List of Legacies I Read

I decided to copy the idea many other Sims legacy writers have and create a list of legacies that I read. This'll both help me and hopefully help those who are always looking for new legacies to read. I'll try to update this as much as possible, and make sure all the information, like if the legacy's fine or on a hiatus or something, is up-to-date.
If some of these descriptions seem to be saying the same thing over and over again, that's because I happen to enjoy reading legacies that are funny and pretty to look at, which is why so many of these legacies fall into that category, although there are some exceptions. If you don't enjoy this type of legacy, then you should probably not read this, because it just won't be your cup of tea. But, if you like witty commentary and adorable Sims, then this is the list for you!
LEGACIES
- The Bean Legacy by gonebynow (This is one of the few Sims 3 legacies I read, which shows how much I like it, since I normally prefer sticking to just Sims 2 legacies. The commentary is funny and the Sims aren't too bad to look at, especially considering that Sims 3 Sims annoy me compared to how Sims 2 Sims look. Hopefully she updates again soon!)
Current Status: Over (I think)
- The Candle Legacy by smustleparty (This legacy is always fun to read and great to look at, not to mention all the Sims who have come from Rickiii Candle's spin-off King Bee challenge!)
Current Status: Current
- The Carebear Legacy by quellasims (This is an Awesimsauce and Poverty challenge-style legacy that is funny and full of pretty Sims. The characters are funny and full of fail, as are most legacy Sims, and the witchy antics are funny to see.)
Current Status: Current
- The Crayola Legacy by leenyland (This is a color legacy, and quite funny to read. There was even a 'Date or Incinerate' challenge that was mixed into the third generation, mixing it up a bit in a good way. Sadly, the last update of this legacy was back in February, but the writer of this legacy seems to be coming back soon, so hopefully it'll be back this summer!)
Current Status: On Hiatus
- The Dorsey Legacy by racetrackd (This is a hilarious legacy that is full of funniness and pretty Sims. Sadly, though, this legacy is finished, having reached all ten generations.)
Current Status: Finished
- The Drunkenmiller Legacy by leenyland (This is a round-robin legacy that switches between Leenyland and
kingmike1224 (Another one of the few Sims 3 legacies that I read, this one is quite funny and still manages to have pretty Sims, even though I still prefer Sims 2 over Sims 3. Sadly, it's currently gone while Nadine tries to fix some computer problems, but I'm hopeful that it'll be back soon!)
Current Status: On Hiatus
- The Fernandez Legacy by racetrackd (Hands down, this is
racetrackd 's best legacy ever, esepcially with the much loved Satchel Fernandez! Always funny to read and pleasing to look at, I'm sad this legacy is over, although it was a fun ride on the way to all ten generations.)
Current Status: Finished
- The Foster Legacy by juri_anne (This legacy, which is an Awesimsauce-style legacy, is really funny to read and quite easy on the eyes. Plus, the fact that I keep coming back to it even though I normally have to reread all the past updates since she takes so long in between updates shows just how much I love it.)
Current Status: Current
- The Frell Legacy by juri_anne (Like Juri Anne's other legacy, the Foster Legacy, this legacy is funny to read and pretty to look at, but unfortunately its updates are far apart. It's an ISBI legacy, which adds an extra aspect of hilarity to it, though, and I enjoy it as much as the Foster Legacy despite all the time between updates.)
Current Status: Current
- The Jackson Legacy by fivesims and
smustleparty (This is a round-robin legacy that is currently only going to be played by Suz of
fivesims (This legacy doesn't always have a lot of commentary to go along with it, but the pictures that Penny takes are amazing, and I still love to read it. So, if you are looking for really witty commentary and characters who have a huge personality, this may not be what you're looking for, but the pictures are amazing, and in the recent update, she used a commentator, the family bird, which was really funny to read!)
Current Status: On Hiatus
- The O'Brien Legacy by radiationpoison (There are probably very few people who don't know about the hot, ever-lasting founder of this legacy, Cameron O'Brien, who managed to make everyone, both straight and gay, fall in love with him, even though he only had a few loves throughout the whole legacy. He lasted to see the very end of the legacy, and he was always the start of huge battles over him, normally by the women who wanted him but couldn't have him because he was purely guy-loving. This legacy may have ended, but Cameron O'Brien will always live on.)
Current Status: Finished
- The Paradise Legacy by smustleparty (An ISBI legacy always delivers laughs from wacky Sims who just can't survive without being controlled, and this is no exception. Plus, what legacy whose founder has a fauxhawk to rival Puck from Glee can go wrong? I only hope it returns soon - the last update was back in February!)
Current Status: Current
- The Quagmeyer Legacy by radiationpoison (Another legacy from the awesome Amanda, this legacy is fun to read and great to look at, just like the past legacies by her.)
Current Status: Current
- The Queue Legacy by fivesims (I enjoy this legacy a lot, although there isn't much that stands out. The commentary is funny and the Sims are adorable and interesting, though, so I suggest this legacy to those who enjoy reading normal legacies with funny characters and nice graphics to look at.)
Current Status: Current
- The Roberts Legacy by leenyland (Another Leenyland legacy that is funny to read and pretty to look at, and yet again is on a bit of a hiatus, although I think it may be returning soon!)
Current Status: On Hiatus
- The Starling Legacy by simkittensims (Goldie Starling has to be one of the coolest and funniest founders ever. Like Kat's icon says, created by
bondchick_nett , Goldie Starling is like a fine wine and only gets better with age. I love how colorful this legacy seems, even though it's not a rainbow legacy, and I always laugh when reading this. The only downside is how far in between all the most recent updates have been, sometimes eight months long, although the last update was only a month and a half ago, so there's hope that the next wait won't be as long...)
Current Status: Current
- The Von Prism Legacy by radiationpoison (Amanda's very first legacy started out great and got even better and better the longer it went on. One of the few color legacies that has been finished, this legacy was always colorful and pretty to look at, along with being funny. Although there wasn't a Sim who was quite as memorable as the O'Brien's Cameron, some of the Von Prism Sims stood out in their own ways.)
Current Status: Finished
Note: These legacies are written in alphabetical order by legacy names, not in order of most favorite to least favorite.
I'm sure there are some other legacies that I read that I haven't put on this list, and that's because I either: a) forget and will put it up soon as possible, or b) the legacy is fairly new and I want to make sure that it's going to survive before I become too connected to it and put it up here; as soon as I decide that it'll be sticking around at least for a while, it'll show up here.
