The Perry Family I: Week Seven

Week Six: Newlyweds Britta and Skylar have very different priorities - Britta wants a grandchild and Skylar wants a child of his own first - but otherwise things are going well between the two of them. Edison, Britta's last child still in the house, grew up and his high school beau, Oudi, moved in, breaking up the blueness of the house. Edison and Britta were a bit too close for comfort, but the new couple managed to have some time of their own and ended the week with baby Sarlo. They finally saved enough money to buy a bigger house for what will surely be a growing family and moved in at the end of the week.

You probably don't remember, but this is the same ROS event we had LAST time, but oh well, we need to furnish the house, so why not start another collection and do just that?



So we're going to start a nice collection of random decorative objects here, in the basement living room. Pretty bare right now...



This time it's Britta and Edison's significant others who are getting close, and in Edison and Oudi's bedroom to boot.



Oh, poor Skylar - he wants a baby but fell in love with an elder. I think Britta is definitely done with children at this point, Skylar.



Britta is so in love with her third (and last) partner that she's finally ready to let her first husband slowly drift away.



Perhaps Edison was a little worried that Oudi might start falling for his stepfather - better put a stop to that with a proposal!



We interrupt this cute moment to mention that we're right across the street from the original Perry household, that nice but small purple Victorian house with the weird blue steps - they look fine on the lot, so I don't know why they're always funky from lot view. See, they didn't move too far away from home.



Little Sarlo is about to become a - wait, what is that?



*tear* Our first founder is saying good-bye.

Britta: Wait, what's going on? Who are you and where is your face?



Britta: But, I'm not ready to go yet. I have so many more grandchildren to look forward to!

Wow, way to make me feel every sadder, Britta. Mean old Grim Reaper!



At least our last glimpse of Britta was a happy one - maybe she's looking at a heaven full of flowers and plenty of chances to watch her family continue to grow.

Oh, you poor fool for falling in love with an elder.

And are we surprised that Edison managed to be her favorite child? But seriously, your oldest is in last place? You think you know a person...



Skylar might not be a family sim, but he sure acts like it sometimes.



Skylar: Did you take my wife? Can you get Britta back for me?











But life must go on, and soon it was Sarlo's birthday. He looks super-excited to be able to crawl and learn toddler skills.

What? He wants a baby, and he might be able to have a baby if he has a dalliance with his stepson - and then I don't have to find someone else and move them in!

Plus, DRAMA.







Hey, at least they're just in Skylar's bed and not the bed that Edison shares with Oudi!
Of course, it was also Britta's bed...
OK, going to stop thinking about that right now.



Really? Matching boxers?



After he changed his boxers, he went back to his actual bedroom, the one he shares with his fiancé.



Ooh, is this is a pregnancy-related food nap?



Yep! Skylar is finally going to be a daddy.



In the meantime, Skylar is getting to know his step-grandson. Yeah, this is going to be a twisted family tree, but whatever.

Oh, thank you for walls.

Edison, you little sneak.



Hmm, maybe Skylar just isn't a jealous guy. He certainly doesn't seem to care that Edison is very much still engaged to Oudi.



Oudi: *smile* Man am I glad I'm not the one giving birth.
Sarlo: Am glad.
Edison: I hate you all.



Edison: Here, she's your kid, so you get to hold her while I pop out another one.

Edison the twin has twins. What a surprise.



It's twin girls, breaking into the male-only house, a bit like Edison's twin sister has a house full of girls under her recent son.

This is Davina. She got Skylar's skintone and eyes and Edison's hair color.



And here's Adriana, who got her hair and eye color from Edison and skintone from Skylar.



Sarlo doesn't want all the attention to be on his new half-sisters - it's jumping-into-childhood time!

I've barely seen him bonding with either of his fathers, but he's all over Skylar - seriously, he's a family sim in disguise.



He's got a little more competition, though, because now we need to work on toddler skills.

Is this our first ghost of Sunset Bay? Britta is definitely our first of our residents to die permanently, so I'll go out on a limb and say yes.

Hi, Britta! I hope the afterlife is good for you!



Look at that, Edison - Oudi isn't even Davina's father and he's paying attention to her. Take the hint, dude?



Our little decorative collection has slowly been growing day by day. You can even see the sadly-not-perma-plat urn of Britta on the top of one of the shelves.



Edison's twin, Angie, stopped by to visit.



Oh, how I wish you had stopped by before your mother passed, but it's good to have you here.







Sarlo doesn't mind sharing the spotlight with his sisters and even knows that being adorable with them is a good way to get my attention. Good boy.



This might have been a sad week for the Perrys, but at least Skylar finally got his wish and is now a father. We'll see how he handles it as he gets closer and closer to his own elderhood.

Notes:
- I forgot to check out Britta's flowershop after she died. Skylar got ownership as the husband, but I don't know if he's really the flower type in the family. Maybe Edison will keep his mother's legacy of petals going?
- Seriously, there was no drama with Edison sleeping with both guys. I'll just let his wants and ACR figure out what happens.
