The Royal-Longshore Family: Week Three

The last update for this family was in October (yes, about half a year ago, that seems to be the amount of time between all of these updates, unfortunately), so here's a recap of what happened in Week 2: Even though Lance was the father of Mariella's son, Liam, Mariella ended up marrying Cody, who she liked a little bit more (according to ACR, anyway). Together they had a son, Tristan, who grew up into a toddler who looks just like his father. By the end of the week, they were a happily blended family, with Lance stopping by every so often to see his son and be adorable and make me wish he had ended up with Mariella (oh well, things ended well for him, if you read his update for this week). Anyway, that's what happened in Week 2 - now it's time for Week 3...

Despite the fact that she's a hippie Romance Sim, Mariella can be a great mother, taking the time to tuck in her oldest son.

Tammy decided to scope out her former competition by casually 'going out for a jog' in front of the Royal-Longshore household. Based on how happy Lance is, and the fact that she's carrying his child, Tammy probably doesn't have anything to worry about...

Now that Liam is at school, he's branching out and making friends with Sims other than his stepbrother. Juliet Bentley decided to stop by after school to help act as an ambassador for her father (or she just didn't feel like going home to start on her homework).
I had trouble figuring out if Juliet and Liam are related - Juliet is the niece of Cody, who is Liam's stepfather, so she's definitely Tristan's cousin, but I don't know if that makes her related to Liam or not. It's not a problem now, but it could get awkward when they're teens, if they end up liking each other or something. We'll just have to wait and see...

After Juliet left, though, Liam went back to playing with his little brother. While playing, Tristan continued to copy his father, this time not just in appearance but his hobby as well.

At this point I decided to allow Mariella to fulfill some of her Romance wishes, since Cody didn't seem to have a problem when she was dating him the same time as Lance. So, when this

Mariella didn't approve of him, though, either because of his haircut, his sweatsuit, or general pickiness.

She didn't approve of this guy either. Maybe she's so in love with her husband that she can't bear to think about other men (although I doubt that's it - when Lance stops by later to check up on his son, she tries to get him back to the bedroom, which I quickly stopped since I didn't want to wreck his adorable relationship with Tammy...)

Despite his complicated family status with Juliet, Liam invited her over. Unfortunately, as soon as she showed up she had to leave, due to her completely unfair curfew. Considering she left in the opposite direction of her house, she probably didn't get home in time...

Despite his skill earning money as a great painter, Cody decided he needed a real job as well. So, with electricity unlocked, he was able to get a job in the Gamer career. Here he is, off to his first day of work.

Liam continued to grow more popular the longer he went to school. This time he brought home Karla Thatcher, his adopted half-sister, I think (not sure if there's a better way to say that). No worries about possibly-creepy relationships between them in the future - according to the relationship panel, he is related to Karla. Instead, they get to be cute quasi-siblings.

Mariella decided that her human family might be done expanding, but they still had room for more in the household, so she decided adoption was in order...

Thus Satin the adorable black kitten joined the Royal-Longshore household! As you can see, she is quite adorable. *is in love*

Despite the fact that everyone loves Tristan, his birthday somehow went unnoticed (oops), so he aged up in his pajamas alone while playing at the activity table. Luckily he kept his hairstyle, which made me smile. He's definitely his father's son.

Karla and Liam spent so much time getting to know each other that Lance had to come and get her, since it was much past her bedtime. (This made me sad, since Liam didn't even get a chance to say hello to his father before they left)

The game system continued to be a hit in the Royal Longshore home - the boys were definitely thankful that their father got a job in the Gamer career.

Before the week ended, Alana stopped by for a visit with her brother. With so many kids and the fact that they no longer live together, the two doesn't see each other as much as they used to. The siblings were happy to get the chance to catch up, even if Cody was in his underwear to do so.

Tristan took advantage of the opportunity to get to know his aunt as well, happily telling her every single detail of his life that popped into his head, as most young children do.

The next day, Liam wanted to get on the family reunions as well, so he invited his father over so they could finally have some time together. As always, the father-son duo are adorable together.
And that's it for the Royal-Longshores this week. Liam is a day or so from becoming a teenager, I think so we'll get to see that the next time we get to them. Liam will show up a little sooner than that, though - in an attempt to add a bit of a story to this BACC, and make it slightly more realistic, Liam will show up in the Thatcher update because he will now be spending weekends at his father's house (well, weekends during the Thatcher week, as least - he'll probably still be at his regular home during his weekends). I'll have to tweak his age a little so that he doesn't end up older than he actually is, but I think it'll be adorable to see him interact with his father more.
Anyway, next up is the Porter household and the end of Week Three, which I've already played, so it will hopefully be soon.
