The Dasani Legacy: 2.1

Last Time: Sophia gave birth to three boys, Drake became an elder, there were multiple birthdays, and the oldest boy, Erick, developed a bit of a crush on a cute neighbor girl whose name I couldn't remember. You can read it here.

 

We start this update with Erick being a smartie and tricking his dad while playing chess.
Erick: Hey, Dad, is that Matt crawling outside onto the street in front of that motorcycle?
Scot: What?!

Erick: *snicker* Yeah, right behind you!

Scot: *narrows eyes* I don't see Matt outside.
Erick: Really? Hmm, you're right, it's just an empty trash bag. Don't know how I mistook it for Matt.
Clever, Erick, very clever.

Erick, sweetie, the butler is serving cereal right next to you. Why are you eating a burnt muffin instead?
Erick: Um, because... No idea, just didn't see the cereal.
Very observant child.

Sophia: Lookie! I gots money!
Yes, you clever little heir, you got about five dollars from your family. Sure racking up those pay days, huh?

I had Layla take a photograph for the heir picture rather than painting it, because they always seem to disappear when my Sims move, and you never know if the current lot will mess up or become too small or crowded, so I didn't want to chance it.

Layla: Ooh, pictures!
Layla, you do realize that the pictures are on the other side, right?
Layla: Shut up - I'm gazing at a picture of a noseless polar bear in a snowstorm.
Apparently the sarcasm grows with age.

Look at all this family win! And it's time for the twins to grow up - yay, no more whining toddlers!

Here are the proud parents with the twins! Too bad now that Sophia's promoted she won't wear the knight armor anymore... Sigh, the things we give up to get ahead in life.

And here's Luke becoming a big boy.

Matt is very adorable, but something about Erick makes him cuter. Although the hair certainly helps him...

Luke, on the other hand...

Sorry, Luke, honey, but you're just not the looker that your brothers are.

Aw, look at Scot being such a good daddy! I love it when Sims tuck in their kids on their own.

YES! LAYLA FINALLY GOT HER LTW!

This is her new LTW. I don't think so - I already got her a job-related LTW, I'm not doing another one, especially when she's so close to growing up.

Now it's Sophia's turn to take the heir picture.

Here are the two heirs so far... A good variation, but hopefully we'll get a non-black-haired heir soon...

I think Sophia wanted to get one or more of the boys into private school, so I had Drake call him up. Let's hope this goes well!

Well, here we go...

Sophia is once again at the piano - if I haven't told her to do something, 99 times out of 100 she'll be playing the piano. She's getting quite good at it, though, so I don't really mind.

Sweet, another promotion. Way to go, Scot!

One of the boys brought home this little cutie! Sadly, she left while they were busy with their homework, so no cute pictures.

Here's your last look at Layla before she grows up into an elder. *Sob!*

Layla: Whoa, what's happening to me?!

Layla: Oh, God, my aching back!
Matt: Whoa, where'd Grandma go? And who's this white-haired lady?

Layla: I can retire? Cool beans!
No - we may have a good amount of money right now, but you never know when something unexpected might come up!
Plus, it took forever to find that stupid job - you're going to keep it until the day you die!
Layla: Sounds like fun. </sarcasm>

See! Your life hasn't sucked so far, so you can stop your constant complaints.

I gave Layla a better Grandma-makeover. I like it, although I should probably tone down the eye makeup, although I think it helps make Layla who she is...

While I was playing with another family, Erick was brought home by one of the kids, and promptly froze outside. Smart kid. I was frustrated when I loaded up the lot and saw that he was still frozen.

Woot! I think that's the first time that I chose that option and something good actually happened.

Go for it, Sophia - don't worry about something as silly as gravity!

More victory! This family is doing well.

And I will end this update with the birthday of Erick - but don't worry, no cliché birthday cliffhangers for me!

And I'll end with this little tidbit: SOPHIA GOT HERSELF PREGNANT AGAIN!
Here I was, excited about Erick almost being ready for college, and his stupid parents decided to have another kid. It may have been a good week so far, Scot, but next week is not going to be fun.

And with that I end this update. The next thing I update will probably be Rosewood prosperity, but I'm not sure. But I can tell you some of what's going to happen next time: The FINAL birth of second generation, birthdays, and young love.
