The Dasani Legacy: 4.1

Last Time: Oh my god - the last update for this legacy was over two years ago! We definitely need a refresher now, don't we? Let's see - last time was the start of the fourth generation, with the Dasanis moving into a new house (which is now lost since I installed the Ultimate Collection, but I have lots of pictures saved before I had to recreate all the Dasanis and move them into a new, much-smaller house) and Melody meeting and marrying Moss. The update ended with Melody giving birth to Pip, who grew up into an adorable toddler at the very end. So, yeah, not much interesting, but this legacy is going to make it to the end, I swear!

So here's the adorable Pip being taught how to walk by his mother, Melody. (Don't worry, I'll tell you all the names - I'm not surprised if you've all forgotten them!)

Melody's father, Max, quickly whisked his grandson off to give him a bath, though, because this is what my Sims do when the toddler's diaper needs to be change - not, you know, changing the damn diaper.

This is Max's wife, Christy, and Max's father, Scot - continuing to test me by fawning over each other without ever doing something really bad - yet, anyway. But they worry me so very, very much.

See? Telling each other dirty jokes...

Wait, what is this? Is Scot actually growing up and not trying to steal his daughter-in-law anymore? *fingers crossed*

And apparently my fingers are useless - they're back to spending way too much time together.

And here's Layla, our founder! I know, I know, she should really be dead by now and her husband is long gone, but I just love her so much that I keep giving her the Elixir of Life! I swear that I will let nature take its course now, though - even though I love my little founder to pieces!

Your husband is right behind you, Christy!
Christy: Oh, your hands are so soft, Scot! I just love playing Red Hands with you and no one else.
Max: *is oblivious*

And here is Scot's wife, Sophia, who is Melody's grandmother and Christy's mother-in-law.
Christy: *takes notes on how to best seduce Scot*
Melody: Why did I leave college again? Living with my brothers and their various girlfriends was much better than watching my grandparents suck face.

Um, Melody, I don't think it's too smart to distract your grandmother from watching Scot and Christy.

Scot: That green just looks stunning on you! It does such wonders for your youthful figure!
Stop complimenting her!

That's better. A little disturbing in front of your poor son, but much better.

Instead we'll move on to the cuteness that is Moss and Pip bonding with father-son time!

And some more Layla rocking out spam.

See, she's so excited to show off her great talents! But wait, what's that horrible chill in the air...?

Wait, look at that face? How can you take away someone with such a sad expression on their face?!

Farewell, my beloved founder! You had a good run of it and got to see your great-great-grandson being born as well as your favorite great-granddaughter getting married and being happy despite her difficult mother and grandfather never letting each other out of their sight - you really had a great life and you will be missed!

Of course, I can't help but wonder why the only two ones actually crying in this picture are her son-in-law and granddaughter-in-law instead of, I don't know, her blood relatives that loved her? *sigh* This family really tests me sometimes.

Here she is, finally reunited with her husband

Melody is your friend?! And she got less money than Christy?! I do not approve, game, I do not approve in the slightest.

But life must move on, and that includes more children for generation four!

*headdesk* At this point I'm almost wishing for a similar outcome as the last person who played this guitar.

Onto more happier news - Pip is no longer a little toddler who gets dragged to the bathtub every time he has a stinky diaper! Hurrah!

And... back to the bad news. Grimm, please leave us alone! Which white-haired Dasani are you taking this time?

Oh no, not Sophia! Don't leave Scot alone

*headdesk. again*

SCOT! What is wrong with you?! This week has been horrible other than the rare birthday!

The cemetary is getting crowded. That's not comforting.

Unfortunately for Drake (Layla's husband who literally died years ago at this point), the cemetary gets uncrowded when I remember that I had cute little side tables in this room to put the urns beneath each founder's picture. Sorry Drake!

Melody, are you always going to try and steal the spotlight from death by showing that you're still capable of bringing new life into the world?
Melody: *ignores me and POPS!*

Your adorable moment with your grandson almost makes me forgive you for all the headaches you give me, Christy - almost.

*second pop!*

Of course, at this point I realized that Scot's days are probably numbered since his wife and mother-in-law just passed on, so rather than giving him a chance to finally ruin his son's marriage, he gets to spend time with his adorable great-grandson!

Which was promptly interrupted when Grimm showed up and traumatized poor Pip.

Look at poor Melody in the background! She is so sad to see her grandfather go! How can you be smiling, old man?!

Scot's *friend,* Christy - sure. You're lucky that's all she ever was to you Scot - otherwise you would have been gone much sooner.

Well, now I'm sad again, seeing Christy mourn at his grave alongside her daughter.

Goodbye, Scot - even though you were a pain at times, you will be missed

Look, Drake, you finally have company again! Behold the cemetery of the spouses!

Yep, it appears that Melody is determined to brighten things up after people die. It's finally time for someone to join the family rather than leave it!

And it's... a Pip clone. Blond hair, grey eyes, S2 skin. Come on genetic diversity! Where's Moss's brown hairs or eyes? Well, I don't want his eyes, but where is the brown hair, damn it?!

And it's another boy, this time Oliver (I guess I was going for a Dickens theme with these names? It's been a while...). Sorry, Melody, but I think you'll have to brighten up things once again by having a brown-haired girl next time...
Anyway, that's it for the first Dasani update in over two years! I don't know if anyone even bothers reading these anymore, but I am determined to get to the end of this legacy, so I'll keep posting them even if they're just for me at this point!
Notes:
- The first update of this legacy was in November, 2009 - almost five years and we still aren't on generation five. A goal for the five year anniversary in a month, maybe?
- As I mentioned earlier, I lost this legacy earlier this summer when I installed the Sims 2 Ultimate Collection - but not to worry, this legacy isn't dead! I recreated all of the Dasanis who were left (sorry, no Layla or Sophia or Scot then) and plopped them into a much smaller house since they're poor once again. I wasn't able to recreate them perfectly since I just can not get their eyes right for some reason, but the legacy will live on regardless!
- I have about a dozen pictures left from pre-UC, so those'll be at the beginning of the next update before I re-introduce everyone and their house post-UC and -reincarnation. So, yay for all of that! Hopefully the next update will be soon, but I'll definitely have a Sunset Bay update first since I have all the pictures taken for the next one and they tend to be shorter.
