Last Time: There were birthdays galore, Melody continued to be the favorite, some of the Dasani clan had an epic Don't Wake the Llama game, Layla had a little bit of Elixir of Life so that she could continue bonding with her favorite (and only) great-granddaughter, the kids got into private school, Max got himself a cute little girlfriend and Scot spent too much time outside, thus freezing and ending our last update, over four months ago. You can read it here.

Looks like Max has been following in his grandfather's footsteps and has managed to spend too long outside. Hate to break it to you, Maxie, but pale, dead-looking skin is not a good look for you.

Looks like Melody has some big news, though no one seems to be paying attention to her...

That's better.
Melody: Success is mine! Look at this amazing, perfect report card!

Christy: Yay, my baby is amazing!
Why isn't your face reflecting your emotions?
Christy: Um, because I don't want to cause wrinkles?
Sims are strange...

Melody: Hmm, I wonder where my father is. He should have been cheering me along as well, and yet he's nowhere to be found. I'll have to perform my victory cheer for him again later.

Don't worry about your dad not being here - you're still an overachiever!

Nice going, Erik (I think) - you're the one who should be working at this relationship, not your father.

Time for another birthday, this time Don!

Melody: Why is there a cake and it's not for me? Shouldn't I get something for being the perfect little sister?
Sorry, sweetie, but you'll just have to wait for your own birthday in order to get a cake. But don't worry, you can still have some!
Melody: Well, I guess I can wait. But only if I get a big slice!

Melody: But if my cake isn't better than this one, I will be very disappointed.
Layla: Don't worry, sweetie - this cake is actually styrofoam with icing.

Sophia: It's not a real cake? Chubbers won't be happy about that!
Who are you calling Chubbers?
Sophia: You'll see.
I don't like the sound of that...

Don: Why doesn't Great-Grandma Layla love me more than Melody? After all, it's my birthday today.
Maybe someday you'll make Layla proud. Or maybe someday you'll move far away and never have to deal with her again. That's probably more likely.

Whether he's the favorite or not, and whether that cake is real or not, it's still his birthday and he gets to make a wish before turning into a big boy.

Well, a bigger boy.

Ooh, pretty colors. Although that looks quite painful...

Don: Woah, my hands look bigger.
Along with the rest of you. Not a very bright boy, it seems.

Well, he may not be the smartest but he's not bad looking. He may have his mother's hair and eye color but he appears to have the huge Dasani nose, thanks to his dead gread grandfather, Drake. Something tells me that nose will still be around once the legacy ends.

Here are his stats. I took a picture of his LTW, also, but not right away. It'll probably pop up later, randomly.

Wow, great parenting there, guys, ignoring your middle son's birthday and instead flirting with each other. It's no wonder your son eats away his sadness!

Don: Who cares? I have cake!
I'm not sure you're going to like that cake, though...

Ooh, money! Good job, Max. Now make to the bookshelf to earn more money!

Or you could work on some strange medical thing that I think your grandfather got for doing well in his career track...

Hmm, he made medicine. That could come in handy should the house be infected by a swarm of cockroaches which, let's face it, is quite common in legacies.

Eli: Hmm, this looks interesting...
Melody: Dad, stop staring at Mom's chest and pay attention to me!
Yes, please do that, if only to prevent the audience from being scarred or at least creeped out.

What exactly are we supposed to be watching?
Melody: Shh, I'm concentrating!
Sorry, but could you concentrate a little faster?

Melody: Watch and you will be amazed!
Christy: Woo, this is so cool!
Eli: Wait, isn't she facing the wrong direction?
Christy: Who cares?
Not you, apparently.

Quite impressive, definitely worth the hype.
Melody: If I weren't upside down and trying to win the heirship, I'd hit you.
Good look getting through the screen. I feel quite safe.

Scot: Hmm, how did my son end up with such a smokin' hot wife?
Oh, this can't end well.

He has just as much chemistry with her as his own wife! And he has two bolts with a lot of other women... But since they don't live in the same house it's not as big a problem as his chemistry with Christy. I'll have to keep a close eye on the two of them.

Poor Layla, all alone while her great-grandchildren are at school and her children and grandchildren are off doing their own things.

It's just not the same with just one person, huh?
Layla: Maybe if I close my eyes really, really tightly then they'll be here when I open them up again.
Or you could just wait for them to get home from school.

Scot: Hmm, I wonder what Christy would do if I kissed her.

Scot: Do you think she would kiss me back?
If you're going to try, I suggest waiting for a time when you're not with her husband, aka your son.
Of course, if you try and cause a lot of drama, we may add a gravestone to the small cemetary sooner than I planned.

Scot: Christy, I'm so glad that we're best friends. It's great to have you in my life.
Eli: Um, Dad, what are you talking about?
Christy: Maybe if I just sit here quietly and emotionless, they'll forget I'm here.

Scot: Oh no, what is Sophia randomly shows up? That would make this so awkward.
Eli: Dad, are you listening to me?

Christy: I'm glad we're best friends, too, Scot.
Eli: Life around here is starting to get confusing, and weird.
Don't worry, lil' Eli, I'm pretty weirded out, too. And yet there's also a small part of me hoping that we'll have a bit of drama as a result of this 'twist.'

It's not Melody's fault that the audience is full of a bunch of adults who forgot want good music sounds like! And no, I'm not being biased toward my not-favorite, not at all. *whistles innocently*

Really, Erick? What a great son you turned out to be! No wonder you didn't make heir. And, as for this Katerina person, I have absolutely no idea who she is and wonder who was friends with her...

Oh, here's Don's aspiration. Yet another job aspiration, which is getting boring although it's much easier to achieve than some people's aspirations...

I wanted to send Max off to college soon (the house is quite crowded right now, what with eight Sims), so I figured he should get a chance to say good-bye to his girlfriend, Lia, who will be remaining behind because I haven't played with her family in a long time. I think Max may have had a want to fall in love with her or something, so that was probably why I originally called her, but I'm pretending it's because he's a romantic boyfriend who wants to say good-bye to his girlfriend in person rather than in a text or something.

Back to the drama that is Scot and Christy. I don't even want to know what they're talking about. You two are both married! She is your much younger daughter-in-law, Scot! He is your much older father-in-law, Christy!

That's better. Looks like someone grew a conscience in the knick of time. I'll just have to keep a closer eye on you two...

After his last day with his girlfriend, Max is ready to head off to college.

We'll see you soon, Max, just as soon as your younger siblings grow up!

Now that his older brother is gone and Don is the oldest, I decided to work on finding him a girlfriend so that he doesn't have to enter college without his first kiss. I think this girl's name is Mia - I haven't played her in a while, and all of these pictures are from a while ago, so I don't remember for sure.

Layla seems to be having a bit more luck in the romance department, though. She is not the bingo-playing, knitting-all-day type of grandma/great-grandmother, that's for sure...

See what I mean?

Melody isn't having as much luck with her hobbies, though...

Scot, leave Christy alone! You're just being creepy now!

I decided that Don's been a teen long enough and has enough scholarships to follow his brother to college. Plus I was getting tired of this generation and ready to end it already.

So long, Don! We'll be there soon, just as soon as Melody is ready.

And speaking of Melody...

Melody: You mean I'm the last one left? I'm the head honcho around here?Um, may I point out that being the last child of generation three and the youngest doesn't make you head honcho?
Melody: Needless details! I'm in charge around here now!
I'm slightly scared, now.

And Melody begins her reign of terror rainbows and unicorns by selling lemonade to the poor, thirsty citizens of Elm Bay.

She even gets a customer!
Melody: That'll be $10.
Customer: $10? I thought the sign said 10 cents.
It does. Melody, would you rather work your way up to $10 or get nothing?
Melody: *grumble grumble* Fine, it's 10 cents.
That's what I thought. Don't worry, you'll get to $10 in no time! </sarcasm>

Melody didn't really get the chance to earn more money, though, because it was someone's birthday...

Ooh, sparkles... Let's see if Melody continues looking adorable...
Of course, she's got to look better than she does now, what with her giraffe-esque neck that seems to be facing the wrong direction.

Looks good to me from this angle, although she could definitely use a different shirt. To the wardrobe/mirror!
But first, here are her stats.
LTW comes later, yet again I forgot to take it right away.

Here's Melody after her makeover. Isn't she adorable? Definitely has that Dasani nose, though, just like everyone else born into this legacy. Other than that, her hair and eyes remind me of her mom.

Here's her gender preference. I was sort of hoping she'd be gay, since neither of her brothers are and I finally got the pregnancy hack for gay Sims so she'd be able to have kids. One of the boys from last generation was actually gay but I changed his preference because I didn't have the hack and I wasn't sure if he would end up being heir (he didn't - I think it may have been Matt, but not sure). Oh well, maybe next generation.

So as not to waste any time in finding a guy for Melody before she gets shipped off to college, it's time for the crystal ball! Look, it's Mulberry Iris, whose legacy I will get back to (eventually). Jon Holmes, a Sim from a family I play a lot, seems like a better option, though.

They started things slowly, though, spending a few hours just hanging out outside.

Oh, BTW, this is Melody's LTW - yes, another job-related LTW.

Scot, just so you know, I'm counting down the days/hours until your death. At this rate, it's looking like it's going to be sooner rather than later.

I hate to ask, but who are you waving at, Scot?

*facepalm*
It's good to see that you're talking a break from stalking -
Never mind, I take that back. Yes, that is Christy and Eli in bed while Scot listens. I'm slightly worried for your sanity, Scot.

Are you serious? You're going to be an elder in six days, you have two children already in college, and your youngest is ready to live any day now, and you want another baby! This had better not be because your father-in-law is paying way too much attention to you...

Luckily, we go to a much better, age-appropriate romance.

They're so cute together! Our little Melody is growing up.

She's growing up very fast! I think she has other things on her mind rather than college...

It's on her mind now, though! We're ready to send the last Dasani of this generation off to college so we can get started on the next generation!

Not that there's any pressure, though. Just enjoy your college years (while they last)...

Up Next: College, of course! I've already played the first year, and maybe the second year, can't remember for sure, so hopefully I'll have the next (and last) update of the generation soon. Either way, I'll try to be more active in the future and at least have some updates, even if they're not Dasani updates.
