The Pleasant Family: Week Three

Featuring Sims by Poppet-Sims and OliveSpecter

Look, a new family has come to Sunset Bay! And, you might just recognize them, although we're going to ignore a certain reheaded twins for a house tour first, because I made this house without basing it on one I found on another, more architecturely-talented simmer (can you tell?)!

Anyway, let's get back to the Sims! As you probably already guessed, our new family is the Pleasant family! Well, if you just read the title graphic and title, you already knew that, but whatever. I'm using the genetically-correct versions of Lilith and Angela Pleasant from OliveSpecter, although I did make their hair red instead of black because the red is just too iconic to change.
The twins decided to move to Sunset Bay because they wanted to get away from all the drama of Pleasantview, and Lilith wanted her daughter, Eve, to grow up in a happy, new place.
Lilith
Brooding // Wanderlust // Spiritual // Night Owl // Athletic
Angela
Dramatic // Social Butterfly // Workaholic // Athletic // Perfectionist
Eve
Athletic // Forgiving // Morning Person // Loves the Outdoors

Some neighbors came to visit. Um, Jesse, you do realize that Luna is married to your sister, who is also right next to you, right?
Jesse: *doesn't care*

Hmm, this isn't the typical image one has when they think of the Pleasant twins...

...ah, this is!

The Pleasant girls headed over to Jules Perry's The Jewelbox to see if they could meet some men or women. Well, Eve was simply interested in puddles - like aunt, like niece.

You probably bathed with her when you were babies, and you're basically identical twins. It can not be that shocking.

Aw, poor Eve is not meant for elementary school, apparently. She does not like homework at all.

But she looks so adorable when she's doing it, so she's going to be a good little student!

Angela: You know, there is a such thing as too much pink. I mean, power to pink and all that, but there comes a point when you just need to step back, you know?

Angela: *silence*
Lilith: *minus*

Angela tried to put the moves on the adorable Nico by Poppet-Sims.

Unfortunately, Nico found that hilarious and not romantic in the slightest.

I guess there has to be some fighting in the Pleasant household, human or otherwise.

Eve brought Olivia Taylor-Davis home with her one day. Aw, she's making friends!

Lilith, meanwhile, is trying to make more than friends with Linda Barthelet.

It's working. A lot.

After not too long, Linda even moved in with a very nice sum! That should help finish decorating the house and such.

Linda Barthelet
Vain // Heavy Sleeper // Forgiving // Graceful // Nurturing

I don't think your mom really cares at the moment, Eve.

Ack! Not in front of your innocent little daughter, Lilith! Shame!

Well, even if she scarred her daughter for life, she will soon have another child to hopefully not scar!

Not much happened once Lilith and Linda got together, so bump #2!

I don't want to know.

Eve bonded with her new quasi-mommy - or perhaps she just wanted to throw something at her without getting in trouble?

Aw, poor Angela has not be lucky in love so far.

She went to Britta Perry's Blooming Petals shop to see if she could find someone to kiss, but the flowers caught her interest first.

Really? Benjamin Long? Linda was a Maxis townie, but she ws much nicer than Benjamin Long.
*takes off judge-y hat now*

Benjamin didn't stick around too long, so Angela tried to talk to him, but he ignored her! You aren't going to do any better, Benjamin!
*obviously forgot to take judge-y hat off properly*

Um, you might want to run away now, Lilith.

Maybe it was the fumes of the decaying food that screwed with her head.

He came over. I am still unimpressed, but I will remain quiet.

Baby time!

Eve is very excited.

Meet Danny Pleasant! He is yet another Sim who inherited one of these custom skintones instead of genetics from his parents...
Night Owl (Lilith) // Heavy Sleeper (Linda)
Hmm, apparently Danny is going to spend much of his mornings ignoring his alarm clock...

Um, you do realize that that isn't your baby, right, Angela?
Angela really needs someone to dote on.

And that's it for the Pleasant family this week! I tried to go for a more candid family portrait because I couldn't resist the twins pillow-fighting, which they did themselves, but I don't think it works quite as well as posed pictures...
I'll have Week 3's round-up posted soon, and then it'll be time for Week 4! Much excitement!
Notes:
- Danny is actually Daniel Pleasant - I named him after the twins' father, but then I remembered that there was already a Daniel (Daniel Royal-Thatcher, one of the triplets), and I was too lazy to change his name, so he's going to go by Danny.
- I wanted to change Linda's last name so that I don't have another last name to worry about, but since neither Linda nor Lilith seem interested in marriage yet, I'm just going to ignore it for now. They'll still be the Pleasant household, not the Pleasant-Barthelets, so it shouldn't be a problem. I'll only marry them if they want to get married or Linda gets pregnant, so that I don't have to deal with her last name then.
- Does anyone know why these alien skintones keeping popping up for no reason? Do I need to change something about them so that they're custom and only show up if a parent or grandparent had it? It's getting kind of annoying, but I don't want to just delete them because I do like them, plus I'm worried that it would screw up my game since so many sims now have it.
