The Everett Legacy: 1.1

Last time: In the first installment of this new legacy, things went pretty downhill quick. Sure, founder Tatiana met Katlin, who was quite good at making gourmet meals and actually going to work without being directed to, but they still managed to screw things up. Even though Tatiana was the only controlled sim, she kept passing out and generally acting like one of the "idiots" throughout her two pregnancies, while Katlin had a breakdown. They had two daughters, Selena and Juliana, who are both unfortunate enough to have been born into an ISBI.

Selena is not happy. Obviously.

You fit into this ISBI environment quite well, Selena.
Selena: *pouts*

Katlin: I know there was something that I planned on doing... I just can't remember...

Katlin: Do you know, Professor Volleyball?
Selena: Please tell me that this isn't my future. Please.

Tatiana: So, what do you think of your new baby sister, Selena?

Selena: You two are setting her on a very twisting and frightening path to idiocy. I should know - I'm already there, and it's very frightening.

Why is no one getting on the school bus?

Well, I suppose I should count myself lucky that someone is paying attention to the baby, if not the other child's education.

I'm torn between complaining about the lack of income and the admittedly smart decision to stay to watch over the baby.

You are not watching the baby, Katlin - Professor Volleyball is not your baby!

A family of success stories, huh?

You are my controllable! Stop making me look bad, Tatiana!

Everyone is always complaining about their fun levels and getting into trouble, so I was relieved when they could finally afford a computer.

This seems like a perfect image to sum up the Everett family right now - aspiration meltdowns and unsupervised children galore.

Then they go and do cute things on me.

After a while, I got sick of showing Professor Volleyball's every appearance - trust me, it's a lot.

We do not need more needy children to worry about, you two!

Look who's finally going to school! Of course, she failed to put on any winter clothes, but at least her boots are winter-ready.

No words...

Juliana grew up into an adorable little tot!

It's very difficult to have Tatiana and Selena sit down for some homework time at the same time, but it eventually happens.

Come on, Katlin! She's starving - what part of that made you think "She needs a bath right this second!"?

Good, Katlin. *pats on the head*

The house is slowing getting furnished - Selena finally has her own little, blue bedroom, which is progress.

You finally have your own bed, Selena - use it.

Wow, someone actually looks happy to go to school today! That's progress.

Poor Juliana got left on the bottom floor with no way to return to the nursery. And where are her parents?

Yep. Well, at least the love still runs deep...

Your daughter is growing up right beneath your nose - put Professor Volleyball down already!

*headdesk* Well, I guess this is what I signed up for when I decided to do an ISBI.

Since Tatiana couldn't get Selena to get out of bed and do her homework, she helped Juliana get a head start on her own education.

And here's the made-over Juliana! I decided that she deserved to have her own fun hair color, if you think white is fun. She's just as adorable as the rest of the family!

Both children and Katlin got off to school without a hitch, all on their own! *applause*

Wow, Selena is actually doing well in school right now! Sure, she had to wake up her mother to tell her that, but otherwise, yay!

And poor Juliana is starting to go the way of the rest of her family.

I think the next paycheck is going to go for another computer - this family keeps on fighting over this one.
And that's it for this update - hopefully the next one won't take another two months to show up!
