The Davis-Lynch Family: Week One

The first thing I did when popping into the Davis-Lynch house was check out Jesse's relationships. If you read the last update, you saw Jesse basically being a horrible person to half of the town, including founder, Delaina. It looks like the only positive relationships he has right now is with his sister and their housemate, Luna, and he only has chemistry with Delaina, yet is in the negative with her. Great.

And this was the first thing that Vanessa and Luna did. I checked - they only have one bolt with each other, but apparently that was enough for ACR!

See? One bolt, and they won't leave each other alone. This is all them.

Now this, I made Jesse do: call Delaina and try and up their relationship a bit. I just want them not to be enemies - is that really asking for too much? At least he doesn't look mean while on the phone...

And then this. Come on, you two actually like each other, stop arguing!
Luna: It's your turn to take care of all the plants!
Jesse: No, it's your turn - you're just too busy luring my sister into the bedroom to remember!
Vanessa: Yeah, can we just go in that bedroom now so that I can stop listening to all this nonsense?

Wow. Again, you two are one bolters - this is making me excited, how much they love each other even though their chemistry is so low. It's so adorable and not planned by me!

Speaking of not planned by me - even though I got their relationship higher, I was still surprised when this was how these two greeted each other after Jesse invited Delaina over. It's all very polite and not-angry, which I approve of.

Oh, um, okay, this is fine, too...

Wow. Just, wow.
Well, it's not getting into fights, so I'm certainly not going to stop them!

What possibily could have happened to you that you would need Mr. Volleyball for company? You're in bed with Vanessa about three times a day!

Well, this is one thing I know Luna wants - unless Vanessa says no, in which case I'm pretty sure we're going to get a visit from a certain invisible therapist...

But don't be silly! How on earth could she say no?!
-

And then we come crashing back to reality when there is yet another springtime thunderstorm that sets a tree on fire. Of course, with my luck, the rain stops before the fire gets put out, so buy and build mode are still greyed out and there isn't much I can do. I kept trying to get Jesse to go inside and call the fire department, but no, how could he stand not freaking out about the fire for more than a minute?

I finally woke up Luna, so of course she ran outside to join in on freaking out after she made the call. At leas the fire department finally showed up.

Um, Mr. Fireman, you're not done.
But he left anyway, and buy and build mode came back, so I just deleted this tree and got a new one with little fuss. Thus ends the night of possible death - I was really worried since I of course hadn't saved recently and couldn't save it while the fire was burning.

Finally! Despite all their woohooing, it took me a while to get one of them pregnant. Come on, I want adorable Lynch-Davis babies!

I swear this is a different day - see, she's in different clothes and a different room! There just wasn't much going on in the day between pops.

Aw, these two are bonding. Really, other than that time they were arguing, they seem to get along great, so I have no idea why that happened. They decided to bond over baseball all on their own, so it's not like I'm forcing them to do this!

After they stopped playing, Luna began bonding with the dog that had been growling at them the whole time. I think her name is Skylar - she reminds me of a dog I tried to adopt into one of the Woodhaven families, but as was the case with them, she left before her relationship with Luna was high enough. ): Hopefully she'll pop back up soon enough - even though I hate pets dying and can't handle too many in a neighborhood, one or two that constantly eat from that pet bowl of life or whatever make me very happy.

Right now Luna has more important things to worry about, though!

Wow, you two are no help whatsoever.

Meet Lena Lynch! She got Luna's hair and eyes and Vanessa's skintone. I'm not the biggest fan of blond hair with that skintone, but whatever, I'm sure she's going to be adorable!

Yeah, I'd get out of there fast if I were you, Jesse. And don't turn around and look at your sister...

Aw, look at Uncle Jesse (hmm, now I'm thinking of Full House - and now I want to watch its cheesiness again!) with his little, new niece! Seriously, how did you have some a crummy reputation last week?
And it looks like Lena won't be the only kid in the house for long...

And you're right back to gossiping. And about poor Britta Perry, too! You made her cry, remember?!

It's time for some fesitivities!

Vanessa looks so impressed, doesn't she? It might have something to do with the fact that she got a bad memory from getting engaged - I'm not really sure why, because I didn't think she was a romance Sim - yeah, I just double-checked and she's a fortune Sim! Is it because Luna isn't rich, because that's awful, Vanessa! I didn't get a picture because I just barely saw the red glow above her head, but she did not approve nearly as much as Luna.

Regardless, it's a beautiful ceremony! They just look so in love!

And look, the whole town is here to celebrate!
Of course, this could end badly - there's Delaina's baby momma, Gemma, there are all the people Jesse made cry, there's the not-so-nice-either Joel Perry...

Hey Joel, see that blue woman standing behind you? Yeah, that's your wife.
And Graham, please don't cause drama either - you've been nothing but nice so far and I really don't want to change my opinion of you!

Yes, let's add some alcohol into the mix - that'll make everything better!

JOEL! What did I say? And I thought you had chemistry with her! What's with people arguing with the people they have chemistry with?!

I had Jesse swoop in and hang out with Delaina to make sure there wasn't any drama with Gemma or Joel. *pats self on back for quick thinking*

And Joel got distracted by his wife, so that helps, as well. And luckily I think he ended up being one of the first to leave, so I didn't have to worry about kicking him out.

I guess all the possible drama and alcohol worked in the party's favor!

Your child is sleeping right over there.

See, he seems to have gotten over any problems with her all by himself! Well, initially it was my meddling, but that was simply to keep them from being enemies!

He looks like an excited little boy.

And then straight to Vanessa's bedroom.
Seriously, why is this the bed that everyone uses? I was able to delete Luna's room easily and put the nursery there and no one uses Jesse's bedroom unless I make them.

On their very last night, little Lena grew up into a positively adorable toddler! I think it's only the eyebrows that bother me - this pale blond hair that she grew up into looks pretty adorable. It's kind of long for a toddler, but whatever.
So, that's it for the Davis-Lynch household this week! Next up is the Perrys - so, again, we'll have to see if a mean Sim is just as difficult when he's at home...
Notes:
- Since their relationship is going so well with ACR, I'm going to have Jesse move in with Delaina when it's her turn next week. So, that'll leave Vanessa, Luna, and Lena, who are all named Lynch now. I'm not quite sure how I'm going to get the Davis name to live on - I think I might have a future child between them get the last name, since I want the Davis name to stick in this house. Even if Jesse marries Delania, I've already decided that their children are going to have the Taylor last name because that's the Taylor house. Are you confused yet?
- I'm trying to get them to save up enough money to buy a community lot and open the first business (something to do with their garden, so probably a grocery store) - hopefully that'll happen next week, but I don't know how long it'll take for them to get enough money. Jesse spent a good portion of the week digging in the yard for money.
