The Bentley Family: Week Three

Since it's been a while since the last update (6 months, but who's counting? And by the way, I didn't realize how long it's been until I just checked. Wow, I am sorry), here's a little recap of what happened for the Bentley family during Week 2. Clayton, the town founder, got married to Alana Longshore, and they had Juliet, who looked like her dad. By the end of the week, Alana was pregnant again and Juliet had grown into an adorable toddler. And that was really all that happened - this family is more about cute moments that momentous ones. Anyway, on to Week 3!

Since this is from a while ago, I'm not totally sure why I took this picture, but I think it was to show that Clayton was friends with Mariella, who maxed out the mechanical skill, so the town gets electricity. Of course, I could be completely wrong, but we're just going to go with that. Oh, and I can't help but notice that someone has one bolt for a certain married woman, even though he is also married. I'll have to keep an eye out...

Life went on normally in the Bentley household, until...

...it was time for the newest addition to the family!

Meet Bradley Bentley! He has his father's eyes, mother's skin, and both parents' hair color. (Maybe they need another child, just to have someone who's not a miniture of their parents...)

Clayton was slowly inching his way up the career path, but to reach the next step, he needed to make friends with someone who has a home business. Luckily for him, his lovely wife decided to use her skill in the kitchen to open a small bakery in front of their home. (OK, I probably cheated a little, since they're obviously already friends, but that's unimportant, at least to me)

Alana's skill in the kitchen extended to her skill in the bakery, and she soon received a good review from a happy customer, one of the many.

Juliet continued to be a curious little girl, enjoying spending time with her mother and listening to interesting adventures of places far away from the quiet town of Woodhaven.

Juliet would soon be able to have adventures of her own, though, as her birthday finally arrived. She was so excited that she punched herself in the face to make sure it was real, rather than a simple pinch.

Juliet was very excited by the idea of having hands big enough to read books by herself!

Her little brother grew up as well, looking just as adorable.

Alana's old roommate, Lance, even stopped by! (When I saw this, I got a bit nervous - I didn't remember them having any bolts while they lived together, but Lance does have a bit of a reputation of being involved with women who already have a man. So I checked Alana's relationship with him...)

(...she has a bolt with him! This can't be good... I'll have to keep an eye on these two as well as Clayton and Violet.)

Clayton soon continued his way up the politics career, which I believe unlocks community lots and/or townies, I can't remember for sure.

Alana doesn't always have luck in the kitchen, though, as evidenced by the first fire in Woodhaven. (I don't know if fire alarms are technically unlocked yet, but I decided to stick them in once electricity was unlocked)

Like the females before them, Bradley and Clayton are doing their best to make a cute father-son team. It's working.

On Sunday night, Alana and Clayton decided it might be best to teach Juliet about the birds and the bees with a disturbing visual lesson (Don't worry - she got out of there before things got scary). And with that, the third week in Woodhaven ended for the Bentleys.
I'm not sure when I'll have the next family up. I'm not done playing with them yet, but right now I kind of feel like playing them, so hopefully it'll be soon. I really, really hope that it'll be sooner than this update was, anyway. Although, really, the last Woodhaven update was only from January, I think. Either way, though, it's been a while. Hopefully there are still some people reading this who remember enough of what's going on - I'm not even sure I do!
