saveourpeeps | The Bentley Family: Week One

The week starts out with a town meeting at founder Clayton Bentley's humble red abode. As you can see, it's a tad crowded in his kitchen/dining room/living room, but hopefully it'll get even bigger in the coming weeks.

And Clayton already has his eye on someone, and luckily it's not the only married woman in Woodhaven!

Before he goes to greet his new neighbors, though, Clayton checks out the available jobs, but Politics wasn't in there this time. On to the meet-and-greet then!

Looks like the Woodhaven residents found plenty of things to do while they wanted for their founder to put down his newspaper, though. The married couple isn't much of a surprise, but the hippie and the wannabe-millionaire is...
And it looks like Alana is a bit of a kindred spirit towards Clayton - she's playing with the ants! (Clayton's OTH is Science, thus the ant farm)

Violet doesn't seem very happy about something now that she's not making out with her husband. Violet, you're a Family Sim, you should be a sweet little redhead, not a fiery one!
Mariella: It's probably all that meat you eat - if you only eat fresh veggies then I'm sure you'll be much more mellow.

(ignore the plumbob, it's hard to avoid it when I can't click on a different Sim)
Clayton and Alana are already hanging out - I think Clayton may have found his match... Although it worries me that Violet is watching them so closely, even though she no longer looks so mad...

The residents leave once night falls, though, and Clayton retreats to his nice, comfy red bed (if you can't tell, red is sort of his color...). So peaceful looking.

Alana stops by soon, something that definitely brightens Clayton's otherwise boring day.

Looks like Alana is pretty happy to see Clayton as well...

That's sort of awkward to flirt with the town leader while your brother casually walks by.

So the lovebirds head inside for some 'privacy' (wow, ACR works first with these two!)

They're such a cute couple! (Even though Alana looks taller than Clayton is some shots, which makes me laugh - it must be her heels!) Sadly, Alana had to leave after a while, but I have hopes for them.

Poor Clayton got a bit lonely in the days after Alana left, though - none of the Woodhaven residents seemed to want to stop by, it was mostly random townies (I know, technically I'm supposed to get some hack to stop the townies from coming, but I didn't feel like it, so I just ignore them and pretend that the Woodhaven residents are the only Sims around for now...)

Like I said, he got a bit lonely...

Hopefully the next week won't end with Clayton still alone, but this week does. The politics career didn't show up at all, and Clayton checked the newspaper every single day! Better luck next week, I guess.

Coming up next time is the Longshore/Thatcher family - hopefully we'll get to see more of Clayton and Alana's romance while there. I hope you enjoyed this, and I'll try to have another update soon - I'm in a bit of an updating mood lately...
